Centering Prayer 7-day Advent Retreat

Our retreat will be a prayerful, quiet, spacious time in community

… to live and move and have our being abiding in the great mysteries of this sacred season of year,

… a time of waiting for the light even amidst the darkness of unknowing,

… a time of attunement to beauty, to gaze upon the glory of Advent art,

… a time to listen to the beautiful music of the season.

We will have periods of Centering Prayer, daily opportunities for prayerful movement, and each evening we will hold a Vespers Lux Divina service with Lectio Divina and celebration of the Communion. There will be times for spiritual companioning, if desired, and expansive spaces for time on one’s own. Retreatants will be given a playlist of sacred music for the season to listen to throughout the retreat and beyond and to enter into the practice of Musica Divina. Retreat begins with dinner at 6:00 pm, Friday and concludes at 11:00 am Thursday. Retreat will be led by Mary Anne Best. A complete schedule will be available upon arrival. Partial scholarships and payment plans are available.
