3-Day Women’s Retreat

The theme for the retreat is:

“Sacred Simplicity- Seeing the Divine in All & Everything”

Please join us for a time of sharing, nurturing and honoring the sacred connection of Sisterhood through prayer, music, sharing and breaking bread together. While this is not a silent Centering Prayer retreat, we will join in the silence of Centering Prayer and have extended times of silence interspersed with activities and sharing. This gathering is open to women of all ages and stages, however Camp of the Hills has rough terrain and significant distances between the dorms and main lodge making it unsuitable for gliding walkers and wheelchairs.

Camp of the Hills is located at 1552 Co Rd 344, Marble Falls, TX 78654 and is a ministry dedicated to showing God’s love to its campers and making the camp experiences accessible and supportive of the needs of youth from low-income and vulnerable communities from all across Texas. Their purpose is to love well, to pursue excellence, to partner with our community, & to live out God’s goodness at camp. They open their facilities for off season for retreats.  Of note, the housing is dormitory style with shared restroom facilities. We plan to open to 27 retreatants and all will have lower level, single bunk beds. The mattresses are extra long and you are asked to bring your own sheets. A double or queen size sheet is long enough. Also please bring your towels and toiletries. Each bunkhouse has ample restrooms and showers for our needs.

Check in 4-5pm, with dinner at 6pm Friday. Three vegetarian meals will be served on Saturday and breakfast and lunch will be served on Sunday. We will close Sunday at 3pm. Retreat will be led by Deborah Hale and assisted by Jill and Billie. Space is limited. Last year there was a ‘wait list’ for this retreat.
