Ilia Delio will be visiting The Church of Conscious Harmony for a two-day seminar January 4 & 5, 2017.  The theme is “God, Evolution and the Power of Love”.  The thread of the talks will be the new cosmology as the basis of new insights on God, the human person and our place in the universe.

Ilia Delio, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Washington, D.C., serves as Josephine C. Connelly Endowed Chair in Theology at Villanova University. She is the author of many books and the general editor of the series Catholicity in an Evolving Universe. Her books include Christ in Evolution, The Emergent Christ and Making All Things New: Catholicity, Cosmology and Consciousness. She holds doctorates in pharmacology form the New Jersey Medical School/School of Biomedical Sciences and in historical theology from Fordham University.

The seminar is offered to the CCH congregation who have a daily Centering Prayer practice and have read Ilia’s book, The Unbearable Wholeness of Being, in preparation for this event. The seminar will be located in the church sanctuary.  Registration for this two-day event is $70 and will be limited to 150 participants.  Please bring a brown bag lunch.  The schedule for both days is the following:

9:30am           arrival, check in and preparation

10:00-10:20   Centering Prayer

10:20-11:00   session #1

11:00-11:15   break

11:15-12:00   session #2

12:00-1:00     lunch (w/small group discussions encouraged – bring a brown bag lunch)

1:00-1:20       Centering Prayer

1:20-2:00       session #3

2:00-2:15       break

2:15-3:00       session #4

3:00-3:30       Q&A
