Lessons in Truth

Lessons in Truth is a clear, concise representation of metaphysical Christianity. These spiritual concepts, taken from the book of the same title, show us how to increase our personal empowerment and enhance our spiritual growth. Our lives can be transformed by the power of our thoughts, words, and beliefs. This class is required for membership in the church and is generally offered once a year beginning in January or February. It is held on the same day for 9 consecutive weeks.  Look for an announcement on the ‘Happenings’ page or view the calendar, for a posting of the next class.

Simple Explanation of Work Ideas

Simple Explanation of Work Ideas class is based on the book by Maurice Nicoll. It is an introduction to the Work of Inner Christianity language and ideas, used commonly at CCH. The Work represents the inner meaning of Christ’s teachings. Our personal study and application of Work ideas helps us understand what Christ was teaching us about ourselves and our world in the Gospels. As written by Nicoll, “…The Work is not a building, a place, a book, a system, dogma or tradition. The Work is something that lives in the hearts and minds of men and women – if they can find it …” This class is required for membership and is generally offered twice a year. It meets on the same day for 6 consecutive weeks. Look for an announcement on the ‘Happenings’ page or view the calendar, for a posting of the next class.

The Journey School Thursday Class

Thursday 7:00-8:30pm

Formerly referred to as the Work of Inner Christianity class, this is an open and ongoing weekly class that is now a part of The Journey School.  The class explores teachings primarily through Maurice Nicoll’s, Psychological Commentaries on the Teachings of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky.  With practical psychological tools that can be applied in everyday life, these teachings and practices transform the way we experience ourselves and encourage the awakening to God’s love moment to moment. Classes are interactive, full of rich personal sharing in a supportive, safe environment.
