Annual Aim – Evolving As Christ

Last Sunday during service the 2018 annual aim was introduced and aim acceptance cards were distributed. If you did not receive one they will be available at Sunday Service from a table on the entry bridge to the sanctuary.  Also on the table will be a wood box for depositing your aim acceptance card.  For those who deposit their acceptance card this Sunday, next Sunday your fulfillment packet will be in the fellowship hall after service with your name on it.  A trustee of the Board will be there to assist with distribution and answer questions.

Simple Explanation of Work Ideas is a 6-week class, based on the book, written by M. Nicoll.  It is an introduction to Work language and ideas, used commonly at CCH in our talks.  The Work represents the inner meaning of Christ’s teachings.  Our personal study and application the Work ideas, helps us understand what, in the Gospels, Christ was teaching us about ourselves and our world.  As written by Nicoll, “…The Work is not a building, a place, a book, a system, dogma or tradition.   The Work is something that lives in the hearts and minds of men and women – if they can find it…”

Bringing the book “Simple Explanation of Work Ideas” is required for each class.  It is available in the bookstore.  This class will be offered again in July – August. Please pre-register with the office 512-347-9673
